18:23. ഞങ്ങൾക്കു രണ്ടു കാളയെ തരട്ടെ; ഒരു കാളയെ അവർ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു ഖണ്ഡംഖണ്ഡമാക്കി തീ ഇടാതെ വിറകിന്മേൽ വെക്കട്ടെ; മറ്റേ കാളയെ ഞാനും ഒരുക്കി തീ ഇടാതെ വിറകിന്മേൽ വെക്കാം;

18:23. Let them bring us two bulls. Let them choose one of the bulls for themselves, cut it up into pieces, and place it on the wood. But they must not set it on fire. I will do the same to the other bull and place it on the wood. But I will not set it on fire.

18:23. Now bring two bulls. The prophets of Baal may choose whichever one they wish and cut it into pieces and lay it on the wood of their altar, but without setting fire to it. I will prepare the other bull and lay it on the wood on the altar, but not set fire to it.
